  Olive was the mistress of Phillip Alexander Kinniburgh for around 15 years while he remained married. They had children together. They were never legally married. In the late1920s they went though a registry office marriage ceremony using Phillip’s then single brother’s name, Robert Cutler Kinniburgh. When Olive reported Phillip to the police for desertion in the early 1930s, the truth about the “marriage” was revealed, and he was convicted of bigamy. Shortly after Phillip joined the army in WW2, Olive married someone else (Shepperbottom) and Phillip’s wife finally divorced him shortly before she married again. Olive is buried next to her sister in Brighton.
